Couldn’t we all use a little sunshine right now? In a season, full of changes both good and bad. It seems we have all forgotten one miner detail, happiness and spontaneity. This tone is energizing and represents a fearless state of mind. Whilst pink remains as SS17’s hero shade, yellow has become emerged into the spotlight this season. Often tricky to pull off, this year’s versions are brighter and bolder than before, so anyone can have a chance to rock this sunny shade now.

It’s not been the one thing to sport head to toe colour for fear of looking ridiculous and out of place, but brace yourself-there is a change coming and it is here to say “Who cares what they think”. When you are sitting and having a cup of coffee with your girlfriends and you notice a girl walking down the street dressed all in yellow, most will stare others will smile because her attitude is “who cares what they think”.
Colour feels good, it engages positive feelings that are contagious! Unlike previous seasons where we look to accessories to add a ‘pop of colour’, for 2017 it’s about a full immersion. The abundant burst of yellow represents warmth and the nurturing quality of the sun, properties we as humans are naturally drawn to for reassurance.
The colour yellow speaks to enlightenment, as it is a hue that sparks imagination and innovation.
